The action originates from President Trump’s executive order on foreign aid, which he signed on his first day in office last Monday.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in the memo that President Donald Trump’s “announcement has made our financial situation more acute.”
Mr Trump signed the executive order on Monday, directing the United States to withdraw from WHO.
